Good. You shouldn't.
You brought up Colombos 1920 liason to Buffalo. And you're pissy because I'm calling into question 2024 'relations'?

Ok bud. Appreciate the history lesson.

- Carmine Persico did business with Buffalo member John Sacco when Persico was still a capodecina in the late 1960s.
- Colombo member Joe Gorgone was close to the Todaros an hung out at the Diplomat Hotel in Florida during the 1980s.
- Carmine Persico associated with the Utica decina going back to the 1960s.
- The Colombos inducted Utica-based member Dominic Bretti. Donato Nappi was also a Utica-based Colombo associate.
- Joe Colombo allegedly traveled to Buffalo to help mediate the factional dispute in 1969.
- On the Palma Boys tapes, Tony Salerno says Carmine Persico is tasked w/ mediating the Buffalo Family's 1980s factional dispute (Todaro vs. J.Pieri) for the Commission.
- Joe DiCarlo Jr.'s brother-in-law was powerful Colombo member Tony Bonasera and a 1967 FBI report identifies DiCarlo as a Colombo member at the time. Bonasera was reportedly planning to visit Buffalo and was expected to back the DiCarlo-Pieri faction.
- Joe Magliocco had telephone contact with Albany-based Buffalo member Sylvester Battaglia of the Utica decina.
- In 1966 the FBI surveilled Utica decina leaders Joe Falcone and Serafino Grio at the Upstate property of Joe Colombo.
- Joe Zito of Batavia NY was an associate "with" Buster Aloi circa late 1960s.

Most of these are historic but there was a relationship up into the Persico and Todaro era. Recent years have shown a great deal of networking still goes on with many of the remaining Families, especially in Florida, so it's not surprising Joe Todaro Jr. and the Buffalo Family still have some level of contact with the Colombos.
Another early connection is that Colombo boss Salvatore DiBella helped mediate a leadership dispute in Buffalo in the early 1920s at what appears to be an Assemblea.
Didn't say anything about 1920 B.

Point was if you believe Buffalo has a 'point-man' to the colomobs, have at it.

Mmmykay.
I can't say I'm very knowledgable about the Colombo Crime Family, but I had read in a report that Sebastiano Aloi (who apparently lived in Florida) had met several times during the summer of 1973 with Giuseppe Napolitano, a Neapolitan restaurateur from Montreal connected Vic Cotroni and the Bonanno Crime Family, the Gambino Crime Family & Lorenzo Nuvoletta, one of the representatives of Cosa Nostra in Naples.

I also have a vague memory of a member indicted (or questioned, I don't remember) with the Falcone brothers, members of the Buffalo Crime Family in Utica, during the 1960s.

Not bad for guys who don't come out of Brooklyn lol
1973, Sure.

You believe Colombos and the 'Buffalo' family have connections today?

He is in the pizzeria and behind the counter all the time.
Interesting. Is he there everyday or is there only certain days that he is there?

In court documents in Buffalo the prosecution has called him an associate… I don’t think Scott reported whether he is made… just that an LE document indicated he was Buffalo’s liaison to the Colombo’s.
Actually court documents by prosecution indicated he was an associate or member of Italian Organized Crime. I was being a little conservative in my previous response. Of course this was his lawyer’s statement:
In his supplemental brief, Eoannou said, “Mr. Bella is accused of being a drug trafficker and a mob associate or member of ‘Italian Organized Crime,’ yet in three years the government has failed to prove he was a member of organized crime or that he sold drugs for money.”

It's worth a visit just to meet him, very funny and likeable guy in person.
