What other mobsters did Scarpa give up? Were they Persico Loyalists also?

Scarpa himself told the FBI he was made in 1951. At the time it seemed suspect as we erroneously believed the books were closed until 1954, but now we know members were made in the late 1940s and early 1950s, so there's not much reason to doubt him.

I recall reading that somewhere but not sure how accurate it is. It is quite possible/likely he was actually made in 1954 when the mass inductions resumed in NY.

in the same crew?
Persico would of most likely lost the family if it wasn’t for Greg .
In the Pogo chart,Gregory Scarpa sr was made in 1951.

After reading that book on DelVecchio and Scarpa I don't think anyone can come to the conclusion that Scarpa was anything but a blood thirsty garbage pail. I'm sure there were plenty of guys who steered clear of him regardless of the violence without even knowing he was a rat.

and what a cowardly way for Scarpa to take the heat off of himself for giving up Persico.

If I'm not mistaken there was bad blood between Carmine and Scarpa and if I remember right Csrmine even suspend him of being a rat. It was therefore surprising that Scasrpa wound such a strong Persico loyalists during the war.

+1
He was a very loyal supporter of Persico against Vic Orena during that 1991-1993 war. And give Persico credit for suspecting he might have been a rat because he was - big time!

We all know now that Scarpa was reactivated as a snitch for FBI Lindsay Delvecchio around in 1983-1984. OPersico's borther was on the lam as a fugitive and only someone as trustworthy as Scarpa would become the mediator or go-between to send money and whatever ekse he needed while hiding out in Connecticut. America's Most Wanted - I believe was used to have Frank Bender do a sculpture of what persico would look like and put it on the show. The following week Persico was busted based on a "viewer's" tip. Till this day, I say that was staged by the FBi to take away any heat from Scarpa. Anyone agree woith me?
