Not a whole lot of infomation on The bay area families, but if you look into news paper articles and arrest reports going back to the 1920s you will fine a lot of information out there.
Most reports says the SJ family was formed in 1942, but it goes back farther then that. The official line up from what I have gathered from 1941 is, Boss Onofrio Sciortino, UB Joseph Lintini acting for Giuseppe Vicari who was in prison, Consiglieri Steven Zoccoli, Capo Joseph Cusenza, Capo Vittorio Mannarino.
Here is the Members I have for the 1930s.
1. Antonio Bello, Member of the Bonanno crime family. Most likely served as an intermediate Boss with the loss of the original San Jose leadership in the early and mid 1930s. Not much I can find him as he had an argument with Bonanno member Giuseppe Venza and moved to San Diego.
2. Joseph Cusenza
3. Alphonso Gunetta, listed as a boss of Oakland, but was only a soldier in Lintini crew.
4. Joseph Lintini
5. Vittorio Mannarino, passed away around the same time as Lintini.
6. Joseph Misuraca
7. Phillip Morici
8. Gaetano Nicosia
9. Anthony Scavuzzo
10. Vito Sciortino, Father of Carmelo and Onofrio Sciortino.
11. Carmelo Sciortino, Made in Los Angeles, transferred to San Francisco till his uncle Antonio Sciortino passed, then went with San Jose.
12. Onofrio Sciortino
13. Pasquale Siragusa, made a power play with the backing of Gaetano Lazio Jr. of San Francisco, Chicago, and Mangano families. Failed and fled to San Francisco.
14. Salvatore Vassallo, Bonanno member who moved to San Jose in 1934 to help the San Jose family. Salvatore was the conduit between San Jose and the Bonanno family, not his brother in law Nicolo Guastella as many sources claim.
15. Giuseppe Vicari
16. Steven Zoccoli, moved to San Jose in 1933 to help the family.
Possible members
1. Leopold Caruso
2. Pietro Cantere
3. Bruno Tarantino
4. There is a Vultaggio during this time. The closes I have come to identify this man is Santo Vultaggio, but Santo Vultaggio was with the Bonanno family and died in New York City in 1938.
Frank Buffa was around during this time but was not made yet.
