FBI can catch it on tape, or other means. Maybe they can't, and they didn't. Rats get caught lying too much, which Mafiastudent points out in one of her stories that set you off. You just don't like the other side being presented. No proof he ordered it, no trial. He is innocent on the charge. If you get arrested for something you did not do, and a friend arrested with you is facing life, he may get a deal to say you are guilty in order to free himself and take it. It happens outside of organized crime too often. It can't and should not be ignored.
