Castellano allowed Gigante to take out a Gambino capo in Connecticut which was a major reason for his assasination.

Take for instance the Royal Rumble or a big Wrestlemania match which I've seen sports betting sites take action on. The outcome for these big matches are often determined months in advance and are known by the top officials, writers and even a lot of the wrestlers. As the event draws near what stops any of these people from placing a big bet through a friend or relative and cleaning house?

Circled betting means there's a limit on how much you can bet. I'll give you an example: last year I knew who won the most recent season of the reality show Survivor because they tape it months in advance. If I wanted to make a bet, I could've betted 50 bucks max with the bookies that take Survivor wagers, and win like 30 bucks. Basically, when there are pre-determined factors, you can't take the bookie to the cleaners. It's almost like they are making a living out of it.

Because events are circled bets limited

A perfect recent example is the streaker at the super bowl , he tried it and he won’t be getting g paid

Yeah I bet. I’m talking about years ago like 60’s 70’s 80’s

Btw Hey extortion maybe you should do some research on Ct before typing. At least 2 families have some kinda crew there.
I think Extortion is right. There's been very little (and minor) mob activity in Connecticut in recent years. The last (relatively) big Gambino case was the DePreta bust in 2012. And, except for Megale in the mid-2000's, whatever has been left up there had been under a NY-based crew. As for the Genovese, you probably have to go back to 2006 for the Ianniello/Galante waste hauling bust. O'Nofrio is from East Haven but he's acting captain of the NY-based crew (under Conrad Ianniello) which now seems to have oversight of whatever is left in both Connecticut and Springfield.

Why jump down the guy's throat for asking a question? Maybe he's younger and trying to learn a few things. We obviously know that some wrestlers were mobbed up...Personally, it is a good question since Vince M's dad operated in the 1930's, the mob owned prize fighters and venue's, why not wrestling? I think it comes down to you just being the raging prick that everybody has become accustomed to.
Extortion is a jackass, second he is totally clueless .

Yeah, I have always wondered that myself. I presume it is because booking can always be changed on the fly but you could always lay your bets off if the outcome is changed.

NYNighthawk wrote: Mon Apr 06, 2020 7:32 pm I can settle this now once and for all. With all the informants flipping from Massino/Gravano/D'Arco/Fratianno - no one , I repeat no one , has ever said wrestling had to pay a tab to the local family. Wrestling was basically ignored by the bookies. The money was on baseball, pro fights, football and basketball. case closed- FINITO!
Of course it’s ignored by the bookies the outcome is predetermined
Most sportsbooks take bets on big wrestling cards, presumably because they know people will bet on anything.
