To Everyone: I am trying to get a handle on the status of Cosa Nostra within certain cities during the year 1960. Respectfully, I would appreciate any and all opinions, feedback and information regarding the following statements. Is it true that, in 1960, :
1. Detroit had a regime in San Diego ( and was the capo's last name Matranga)?
2. The Gambinos had a regime in Baltimore (and was the capo's last name Corbi)?
3. Youngstown, Ohio, had members of two regimes in that city, one from Pittsburgh and one from Cleveland?
4. The Madison, Wisconsin Family, under Carlo Caputo, was still in existence (albeit on its last legs; the vote to disband as reported on the Mary Farrell site was subsequent to 1960) ?
5. The Rochester, New York Family was up and running, and the alleged Family boss at that time was Frank Valente?
6. Miami and Las Vegas were "open cities"; was Atlantic City an "open city" also, or did that occur in the 1970s?
Your collective input and information is appreciated.
Regards,

4)No,because in 1968 the family had only 10 active members and in 1968 FBI file is write that Milwaukee mafia tried and failed in 1966 to absorb Madison amd that in 1968 the family was under Chicago wing
5)No in the 1960s Rochester was still a Buffalo territory with Frank J. Valenti as capo. They split in the early 1970s.
6)No.When was legalized the casinos in Atlantic City the other families must ask the ok to Philly and gave a share of their bussiness in AC.Some researchers think that the reason because the genoveses let think to Caponigro that had the commission approval to kill Bruno is that wanted that AC would become an open city.
