Speaking of Humphries, from all descriptions he seems a very intelligent gangster, a real criminal mastermind and the brains for many Outfit leaders. Yet, don't you think his end was "just a little" out of character? I mean, pointing a gun at the feds who come to arrest him, then, once disarmed, biting them to blood like an animal and getting so excited in the process to the point of dropping dead just after being released. Couldn't he just play the role of an "innocent old man" till the end or has he gone paranoic in his last years? His career really doesn't match with his last behavior in my opinion.

The chart is done: about 200 names and about 160 photos (I was quite surprised to acquire as many as I did.)

Rick sent to Fosco, he'll input whatever and I'll update it and post it. Depends on how long Joe takes.

I imagine there will be disagreements. Should make for some interesting (but polite and informed) discussion regarding Chicago.

I found something that said Joseph Grisafe, who was killed with Marcello, usually worked for Vincent "the Saint" Inserro, and Inserro was under Aiuppa until he retired.

Also, according to many FBI docs it appears that the LaPietras and Johnny Apes were under Buccieri in 1963. They probably transferred to Chinatown after he died. The problem is that people from different crews mixed and worked together, so it's confusing. It was rare for members to switch crews in Chicago, but it does look like they did.

Yeah thats right. As for Morelli he was also beaten up and later helped around at Buccieri's house at Lake Geneva i think

Villain, didn't they beat DeRiggi up and kick him out of the crew? I seem to remember reading about that at some point.

Torello and LaPietra were almost on the same level.I also think that the LaPietra crew had another member by the name of Johnny Figurata

Rossi, Teutonica, Petitti, Monaco and Ozzanto worked as juice collectors under Severino. Their headquarters was the 1501 Club and later the Sportsman Billiard parlor in Cicero.

Monaco also worked for the Rush Street Crew

James LaPietra, Annoreno, Monteleone, Morelli, DeRiggi and Milstein worked as collectors for LaPietra. Their headquarters was the S.A.C. Club in Cicero.

Morelli and DeRiggi later dropped out of the crew

Frank Buccieri operated also in South Greenwood, Park Ridge.

During the early 1960's the LaPietra group also had their headquarters stationed in Cicero first at West Roosvelt Rd. and later at West 14th Street.

Buccieri ran north Cicero (Madison Avenue and up).

I think Potenza had a small crew that either reported to Battaglia or straight to Giancana.

Thats right. I also have it as "DiGiorgio" i made a mistake because i didnt checked it out

As for Leonard Calamia i think that at first he was under the North Side crew and later went to San Francisco where he was involved in Nick DeJohn's murder. After the murder Calamia fled San Francisco to Chicago and later was arrested by the cops and was brought back to California.Story goes that Calamia secretly snitched on two of his fellow gangsters whereabouts which was revealed two years later after the murder.

Also Buccieri's headquarters was located in the Cicero area and he also oprated in the Northwest area. After the deaths of Campagna and Maddox, Aiuppa shared the territory (Cicero) with Daddano and Buccieri untill Daddano's imprisonment and Buccieri's health failure
