I haven't had a chance to read this entire thread so forgive me if this was previously mentioned but in 1975 Nino Gaggi, Roy DeMeo and Dominick Montiglio used grenade in an attempted hit on Vincent Governara.

Thanks.
Sorry, I should have mentioned that the bombing took place February 1, 1964.

I'll just mention that this one is very tenuous. Dipasquali was just a chemical plant worker who for some reason was killed by a car bomb in Amherstburg which is right across the Detroit River in Canada. I've never been able to find any connection between him and the Detroit mob. And he's not mentioned in any FBI files I've seen from the 50s and 60s. Police speculated that experts from the US may have done it, but that's it. There are also references to this possibly just being a personal feud thing. It's a weird situation, but I can't think of a reason the Detroit mob would go out of their way to kill an immigrant factory worker with a car bomb.
I think if he was killed with a car bomb there would be a reason MAYBE given the fact that in the 1950s more H come from the canada to Detroit and that DiPasquali worked in a chemical plant was tied. But its just a ny opinion.
Oh it's definitely possible since car bombs are so rare, but Dipasquali was stabbed by a guy the year before for fooling around with his wife. That seems to fit more in my mind. I can see that guy trying again.

Its look more probable,in the article its write that the mafia was involved maybe DiPasquali banged a made man or an associate wife.
Yeah I've got that article in my files. And it doesn't really say the mafia was involved. It says that its a rare thing for Canada and more like something that happens in New York. And one local police department is looking for any mafia ties. I would absolutely buy it as a Detroit mob hit with just one piece of information tying him to the mob. If the police said they were looking at someone like Santo Perrone, I'd buy it in a second. Perrone was well known to blow things up and he was big into bringing Italian immigrants into the country and would have connections with the Canadian Italian community right across the river. But I need some connection. Like the 1971 Joe Bozied car bomb has mob links to Detroit even though he wasn't a mobster. If you read between the lines they flat out said Nick Ditta was the bomber if not necessarily the guy who ordered it. I'm looking for something like that for Dipasquali. All of the suspected Detroit mob murders around that time 1957-1963 get brought up in FBI files, government documents or referenced at a later date in news articles. Cicalo, DiFatta, Moceri, Karamanos, Hall, Calabresse, Brodsky.
But nothing about Dipasquali. It's never mentioned again. I could easily be wrong, but I kind of need something other than it being a car bomb to call it a mob hit. But if anyone has additional information I would love to hear it. Always trying to gather more information.
