FriendofFamily wrote: Fri Jan 17, 2020 2:07 pm At one time some of you were going to take a trip or tour with him in Chicago.

So it is possible that I can arrange to meet with him and ask him some questions that some of you have on here.

So if you have some questions that you want asked just let me know and I will compile a list.
1). Was Joe Ferriola ever the Top Boss of the Outfit, even for a short while, before he became sick?
2). What was the exact power relationship between Accardo, Auippa & Cerone?
3). Were his Father & his Uncle Nick 50/50 partners?
4). Did Angelo LaPietra "loan" money to his Father & Uncle at a low interest rate so they could put it out on the street?
I don’t get the ferriola thing keep coming up. Nick calabrese who was a made member said he never was. Aiuppa then carlisi. That’s one of those things people won’t let go of for whatever reason
Roemer, The F.B.I. Agent, said Ferriola was Boss for a short while so I would like to hear what Frank Sr. thinks about it & why the F.B.I had that idea?
Is that okay with you? Maybe next time I'll ask you for your approval of any of my questions before I submit them.
I wasn’t attacking you take it easy but most of the questions you asked I could answer for you. The only one I could pass on is number 2 but the rest of your questions were all addressed by Nick calabrese in his testimony which I have. Frank and nick were not 50/50 Nick was paid a salary of 3 grand a month which jimmy lapietra made frank start paying him 4 grand a month in 88 I think. That’s all he ever got never even a percentage of anything. When frank was first whistled in by Angelo he was given more money to put on the street in a addition to what he had out there. After that it was all franks and frank kicked up a portion to Angelo every month. At one point just from frank, Angelo was getting between 15-20 grand a month. Frank was supposed to give Angelo half of what he made but always held out
Have you posted a copy of Nick's testimony anywhere?

I will have to give him a call - I just got busy at work and haven't gotten around to it yet.
No hurry buddy, just wondering if it was still in your plans.

In the end that same Outfit boss was against narcotics for real and ordered a lot of hits because of that same personal situation...
Was it Accardos son? Also didn't Riccas son die from drugs?
I thought about keeping the info for some future projects but since I already mentioned it and you guessed it, then yeah i was talking about one of Accardos adopted sons. During the 60s he allegedly joined the hippie movement and became a heavy drug user for some time, which was enough to make his old school and murderous dad quite angry about it. I already told this to Pete that not all of the 120 hits which occurred during the 70s were related to the chop shop wars or possible informants and internal conflicts regarding territories and such...

One or two years ago, i think it was Antiliar the first one who mentioned that Riccas son was allegedly a junkie, although i personally never stumbled upon info such as that one and im not saying that its not true since Antiliar is one quite good researcher but still...

I think it's pretty common that most of the older guys were from a poor background, now the successful one that made alot of money realized there is no reason for their sons to be in the life.

Frank wrote: Tue Jan 21, 2020 9:27 pm Also LaPietra saying that it was a cardinal sin and should have been dealt with, about Frank Snr bringing his sons into the life. I got to believe there was no Outfit rule against that. Nothing has ever come up about Lee Magnifichi bringing his son Mike into the life. Mike was the driver and golfing partners with several of the bosses when he was young.
Same story goes with the Carusos, DiCaros or Nuzzos and many other members from different Chicago Italian families, especially from the old days. Even some of the non-Italian members of the Outfit did the same thing, such as the Curry and the Guzik families, meaning they brought their own sons into the life, like for example after his father's death which occurred in 1970, Robert Curry inherited his dad's interests around Joliet and Will County
In many cases fathers did not bring their sons in, and in fact may not have even wanted them involved. However, many sons did get involved because of the example set, and because of the people they grew up around. In that sense I think Frank Sr. was not the norm.

Actually something did come up about that. Difronzo said lee was wrong for bringing michael into the life. Obviously there was no set rule against in general but bringing your kid into the life was more the exception than the rule
I can see where alot of these guys, being good parents.wouldnt want their kids going down that path. That it was a personal opinion. Maybe La Pietra didn't like it and felt Frank Snr more or less forced his kids into the life. Maybe he felt they were not cut out for the life.
