I haven't heard great things.

I love mafia fiction. If anyone needs fiction suggestions I got them.

Just read Family Secrets by Jeff Coen.

Thought it was a great read. Nick Calabrese's testimony on his many, many hits is bone chilling. Stalking people for weeks, building bombs, shooting friends in the face etc.

It also shows that the outfit was already on fumes during the trial and probably all but gone now.

If you want half-fiction projects, maybe you can read Giancanas book Double Cross....its a great xmass book

I loved mob boss because I’m interested in the subject matter, but I wouldn’t say it was a real page turner.

For pure unrelenting drama, nothing beats murder machine for me. Anyone could pick that up whether they were interested in the mob or not and be like.....fuck man, that was a ride.

Mob Boss by Jerry Capeci and Tom Robbins along with The Brotherhoods by Guy Lawson and William Oldham are complementary books that largely deal with the Amuso/Casso era of the Lucchese family.

Mob Boss is from Al D'Arco's point of view while The Brotherhoods is from a cop's who worked with Stephen Caracappa. Some info is repeated between the two but reading the dual perspectives is pretty interesting.

This is a good read and like kid says it goes fast. Id get issues of Informer magazine for more a in-depth and focused look into all manners of the subject.

For fiction I'd go with The Godfather, non-fiction depends on what city if any they might be interested in. Joe Bonnano's book has some things in it that are probably not true, but what book doesn't? It's not a bad read and has a lot of history in it.
