Basso controlled a sizeable portion of illegal in Bridgeport. But again, I'm pretty sure all 3 were in prison by the time of the indictment. Same with the Curcios.
Franny Curcio and his loansharks: Dahill D'Onofrio (Stratford) Edward Vagnini (Stratford) and Roberto Garcia (Bridgeport) are all serving time for loansharking at the time. Gus Curcio is serving those sentences for loansharking/extortion/etc. that totaling 27 years. Didn't get out until 2003 (around the same time the FBI said Ardito was planning his resurgence in CT). Not a pretty year for the Westside to say the least.
