If he did I was never in it Frankie and his wife ran the joint. I'm sure when you were in that neighborhood you weren't lookin' for a beer and a sausage sandwich I'll bet you went a little further up the street I only went to the Pines in my early 20s and late teens while I was home on college break or in the area for a birthday party. I wasn’t a regular by any means Plus I couldn’t get out of hand because of EB and Frankie, Frankie was there a lot and Joe Diorio and Tony Kelly worked the door. I got rowdy in there one night and I got a call from my father the next morning so I tended to pretty much stay away. We spent a lot of time in Akron/Kent/Cleveland in those days. But always made sure I went to your joint every time I came into town. Couldn’t resist the bar menu and the “stiff” pours. P.S. Peppers are marinating Crazy. I wish I knew then... I do remember Frankie because he and my dad were friendly but I wouldn't have a clue as to who else was there. Do you guys happen to remember Zorba's in Akron? Good times So where was Zorbas in Akron Located? There was a Greek Place on Main street on North Hill but I don't recall the name of it.
