Hells Angels Andre Sauvageau, who was believed to have died of natural causes, was allegedly poisoned with fentanyl
https://www.journaldemontreal.com/2024/ ... -en-prison

Very interesting development involving Silva and Woolley. Silva reveals Woolley ordered Andre Sauvageau murdered as a gift to Maurice Boucher. Raises the questions whether the HA knew prior to this revalation and if the Rizzuto-Sollecito group knew before it happened, did Woolley act on his own?

lol, no one can except the Quebecers themselves ;) . That said, I remember seeing excerpts from the Charbonneau commission where the speakers spoke "normally", this may also be the case in the courts. At worst, if it is decipherable for my ears, I can help translate

I forgot to mention that for Barberio's next court appearance, the 2-day proceedings will be conducted in French. My fluency in the French language leaves a lot to be desired -- my reading comprehension is okay -- but trying to decipher spoken Québecois French is something else altogether.

What is Barberio detained for?
I don't know. As a nonjournalist, I'm able to find out only by virtually observing his court appearances (which I believe have all been via video from a detention centre) and by waiting to hear the charges incidentally mentioned -- in any context whatsover -- by either the counsellors (Crown and defense), court clerks, et al. The problem is, the charges are rarely mentioned on these Zoom proceedings because a lot of time is spent discussing coordination of discovery, hearings, trials, etc., and because the judge is keeping an eye on the Jordan deadlines.

One journalist does know what Barberio is charged with and is waiting for there to be something substantial to write about. On December 12, if I find out what the charges are, I'll make sure to post here. I'll also post any link to the article published by the reporter.

Sixteen people facing charges in RCMP drug-trafficking investigation
Bruno Di Quinzio, a former actor in the television series Omertà, was among the people arrested.
Paul Cherry • Montreal Gazette
Nov 05, 2024

A former Montreal actor and a man tied to one of Quebec’s most notorious drug traffickers were among four people arrested Tuesday morning following an investigation by the RCMP.

The Mounties said in a release that the four men “were allegedly involved in trafficking drugs, mainly cocaine and hashish.” Approximately 94 kilograms of hashish and six kilos of cocaine were seized, along with eight firearms and more than $180,000 in cash.

Included among those arrested was Bruno Di Quinzio, 58, of Montreal, who has been convicted in at least two major drug-trafficking cases in the past in Montreal and British Columbia. Di Quinzio was also once an actor in a television series called Omertâ, a popular fictional account of the Montreal Mafia that aired on Radio-Canada during the late 1990s. The series’ title was borrowed from the Sicilian expression for the Mafia’s code of silence.

Also arrested on Monday was Jean Sigman, 71, of Trois-Rivières, who has past ties to Raymond Desfossés, a notorious drug trafficker tied to the West End Gang. Desfossés died this year.

The RCMP reported that Alain Bonneau, 71, and Daniel Le Tourneux, 66, both of Québec City, were also arrested.

“A fifth individual — Réjean Gagnon, 63, from Ste-Thérèse-de-Blainville — is wanted, and a warrant is still out for his arrest,” the RCMP said.

“According to the investigation by police officers from the Quebec City Detachment’s Border Integrity Program and Federal Detachments, the alleged traffickers carried out illicit activities in the Quebec City, Trois-Rivières, St-Jean-sur-Richelieu and Montreal regions. They are facing multiple charges, including cocaine trafficking, possession for the purpose of trafficking and conspiracy. They are scheduled to appear by videoconference at the Trois-Rivières, Québec City and Montreal courthouses today.”

A total of 16 people are facing charges. Eleven other people are due to appear at a later date.

"And in a sign that loyalty no longer seems to be worth much in this environment, the suspected shooter is also suspected of having already committed an attempted murder against one of Woolley's enemies a few years ago, according to our information."

This statement from one of the aforementioned articles is nuts. On a Monday you pay a guy a couple grand to shoot at somebody and then on Tuesday he's shooting at you...

Spagnolo sounds like a loyal guy. I would rather have a few of those, then 20 men who change their mind whenever the wind blows.
