It happens, especially within the Camorra it seems. Typically wives or other female members of a family overseeing things when their husbands, etc. are in prison or dead. However, some here and there amongst all the clan bosses I I wouldn't call common.

Is Genny a composite of all Di Lauro’s sons? B/C the way I’ve heard the eldest son described definitely sounds like Genny’s season 1 character.

Not yet. Waiting for it to come out on Netflix. Right now I'm watching the second season of Suburra.

I posted about Operation Pollina, about Domenico Pelle, who was even YOUNGER, like 26.

And he was doing a lot of " Genny" type shit, in Germany, deals with coke brokers, different clans, all kind of shit....
