Jimmy Buccelato & I are co-authoring a small book on the Detroit mob covering the 1930s through the 1970s. I might follow that up with a second installment just on Jack Tocco himself, going from 1980 until now, not sure though.

Scott
Wish you were doing the Tocco book first

Tony Z autobiography fell apart after he died - we were only halfway through the project. The Zerilli family shut it down.

Who runs the Windsor crew? Or is it still functioning?

Scott,

I presumed you were authoring a biography of Tony Zerilli.

Scott, I very much look forward to reading you and
Jimmy's book. Please advise when it is released. I
am in full agreement with NN44 about the second
installment about Black Jack & recent years. In a
recent post someone floated the D'Anna's as possible
future family leaders. They do have an historical
family pedigree.

That’s awesome. My vote is do the second installment as well. We will definitely read it as a lot of others also.

Are/how Joe and Mimmo related to Tony "Cars' D'Anna?

Everyone likes and respects Ruggirello and he's been an "advisor" or "emeritus" as they call it in Detroit, for the last 15-20 years. T.R. ran a crew for decades and was close to both Tocco and Giacalone factions of the Family. I suppose "Joe Hooks," the former underboss, could come out of retirement. I suspect though its up to Ruggirello - I'm guessing Jackie & Lop have told T.R. if he wants it, it's his.

Thanks for the insight Scott!

Any update or info on Joe D’Anna and crew since he got out last year?

Also congrats to you and Jimmy B on the book deal. I’ll send you a separate PM about that.

Book deal? Details?

also, Detroit-style pizza has made its way to NYC and its fuckin amazing. ridiculous. I always was a typical NY traditionalist pizza snob, but a Detroit transplant opened up a yuppie'ish spot in Williamsburg, and hands down it shits on any pizza ive ever had. She's been successful enough to expand into the West Village and a few other locales, so now ive seen a lot of imposters pop up and even some local NY spots offer "Detroit style" pizza. I had no idea Detroit Style was even a thing. I can only imagine how good it is out in Detroit
What is the name of the establishment, Emmy Squared?
