Last forum we had a Sticky 'General Questions' thread. Can I suggest this thread be 'stuck' in order for members to ask questions not warranting a specific thread.
To kick her off with an inane one, but something annoying yours:
What was the situation with moustaches in the 50-70's? I was under the impression wise guys were clean shaven? Yet in both Goodfellas and Mean Streets there are several made guys sporting mo's.
Is the moustache ban a myth?

I'm pretty sure it was never a rule or at least not an LCN wide rule. Plenty of Philly and DeCavalcante guy's had staches and beards.

The Gambinos have 2 full Crews and at least 1 more that is NY based but has operations in Jersey. The Luccheses have 1 with another one that is NY based but also has operatons in Jersey. The Genovese could have as many as 10 combing the full crews and partial crews that operate there. The DeCavalcantes most likely have more than 3. The Colombos don't seem to have a full Crew there anymore but I'm sure they still have people there.
I guess you can say NJ is a mobbed up state.

Let me add that Philly has 3 Crews in Jersey. The Licata Crew in North Jerey and the Staino and Lancelotti Crews operating in the south.

Yeah. They were a pretty big bookmaking operation out of the Borgata casino. Here is a brief summary of the bust that Wiseguy wrote up.
In April 2008, 24 people, including Philadelphia LCN members Michael Lancellotti and Anthony Nicodemo, were indicted in New Jersey on charges of running a sports bookmaking operation out of an Atlantic City casino that handled $60 million in bets over a 20 month period, loansharking, and money laundering.
