Very interesting case. Seems like the Russians were behind the hit but who knows.

Then how wasn’t the hit solved? Then acting boss vinny palermo must’ve given the ok for the hit had the DeCavalcantes done the murders. And vinny became a rat. Did he ever talk about the murders?NJShore4Life wrote: ↑Mon Nov 26, 2018 3:29 pm Talk is that Philip Abramo of DeCavalcantes ordered the hit.

It's also been speculated that the Colombos are responsible for this one.
Re: Unsolved Possible DeCavalcante Mob Hit in Jersey
Its possible that these murders tied to Abramo were ordered without Vinnys knowledge. There was a panel and its possible he was not privy to in depth info on Abramos rackets. Keep in mind there were murders in the Bahamas tied to Abramos stock rackets as well the not a single Decav was charged in. And then you tie in the Colombos and Russian OC.....slimshady_007 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 26, 2018 4:07 pmThen how wasn’t the hit solved? The whole situation is very intriguing. If Abramo ordered the hits in 99, and also ordered the hit in Florida then i’m quite impressed that he managed to duck indictments.Rocco wrote: ↑Tue Nov 27, 2018 9:23 amIts possible that these murders tied to Abramo were ordered without Vinnys knowledge. Abramo is suspected of ordering all of those hits but has never been charged.
Re: Unsolved Possible DeCavalcante Mob Hit in Jersey
I always just heard this has a Russian angle. But now reading more into it and you guys mentioning the abramo angle is very interesting and to me makes a lot of sense... I mean abramo was huge on the stock game. So that theory definitely holds weight..
What’s the connection with the Colombos??? I’m always interested when I hear jersey and Colombo’s together since they’re the family that literally has never had any serious control in Jersey. But I know just cause the guys got hit in jersey doesn’t mean it had to do with jersey shit.

Here are the three passages from the article that mention Persico, Abramo, and the Russians. Take your pick...chubby wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 11:57 am I always just heard this has a Russian angle. A Business Week article in December of 1999, citing unnamed sources, said Chalem was a key link between the penny stock trade and organized crime. The article said Chalem was a close associate of Philip C. Abramo, a reputed capo in the Newark-based DeCavalcante crime family who at the time was implicated in a stock fraud case.
The Huffington Post reported in 2011 that Chalem had been partners in a Key West, Florida, scuba-diving business with Brooklyn mobster Alphonse Persico, who is serving life in prison for the 1999 rubout of an underboss. That article said the DeCavalcante crime family was suspected in the Colts Neck slayings early on.
Court documents have revealed that investigators also were looking at the pair's links to Russian gangsters.

Damn man thanks for posting that... this shits got a lot more angles and is more complicated that I ever expected... guy had dealings with abramo and little Allie boy... I’m not too informed on abramos history doing or ordering work... but I know Allie boy sure wasn’t afraid to do work, and sure as fuck wasn’t shy about ordering hits... crazy no informant has come out with any info on this double murder. More I read the more I feel like it is 100 percent mafia related..SILENT PARTNERZ wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 12:07 pmHere are the three passages from the article that mention Persico, Abramo, and the Russians. Abramo was pretty respected by a lot of guys in all 5 families because of his money making ability. Kinda like the gas tax. Once other families found out everyone demanded in so they can have a piece of the pie. These murders could have been committed by crews from different families.etc Many different parties could have clipped people to minimize the damage. Who really knows Abramo's hand in these murders. His stock racket interests more then likely were much more vast then what was in the indictment since he had been at if for so long. These people could have been silenced for having knowledge about other crimes that were not listed in the indictments.etc.slimshady_007 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 27, 2018 12:21 pmThe whole situation is very intriguing. In 1999 his crew members were Louis "Louie Eggs" Consalvo, Gregory Rago and possibly Gaetano “Guy” Alessi. Plus Frank D'Amato as a proposed member. It wasn't a very large crew even by DeCavalcante standards. It is unkown if he is still a Capo or even active.
