Vernance is doing life, so I hope they made a better choice, lol..

Gambino and Cali are related through marriage (distant, iirc) and Cefalu while not a "Zip" per se, I believe is in that conversation, but others would know his lineage better than me . Tell you what, you talk about dead eyes, Dom Cefalu has them...hate to be sitting across from that guy at the table.

Cali is definitely a rising star in that Family, and keeping him out if the limelight is key, IMO. Big things will be expected from him down the road.

Why do you all keep referring to Cali' as "a rising star"? He's pushing 50 for christ sake and is underboss. Exactly what is it you think he's still rising to? And big things will be expected of him down the road? What does that even mean? You guys refer to him like he's the Derek Jeter of the Gambinos.

They're making mafia cards, like baseball cards. Even bringing back that chaulky pink gum that breaks in your mouth like glass that dissolves into the smallest piece of gum one can imagine.

He's never been arrested and did a perp walk in a suit, meaning he adheres to the old ways and knows how to "make money rather than headlines" unlike John Gotti who set this thing back 100 years.

In other words, Cali is going to beat 40 years of law enforcement regulation and surveillance equipment and become boss and transform the group into well seasoned gangsters with connections to Sicily. Because Cali has the power to do that as well as turn alfredo into Marinara.

Do we know exactly when this ruling panel was installed? I mean, it could have been installed only temporary due to to Vernace´s legal troubles. It´s possible that Cefalu decided to step back (not step down) for a while because of Vernace´s indictment. A Family having a ruling panel and a fully functional and available official boss calling shots at the same time is (previously) unheard of.
There you have it, never printed before.

Well who else do the Yankees have? Uh...I mean the Gambinos? They are not exactly attracting allot of young talent these days? The genovese always get the top draft picks. While the Colombo's, Bonannos and Philly family are left with guys from the minor leagues that no one else wants...

Joe Massino had a panel in place while he was on the street.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

Thats because he wanted to isolate himself with the rest, the final word on important business still went to Massino.

I'm sure that is the situation with Cefalu as well.

It's more likely that Lorenzo Mannino is the consigliere.
In regards to the Gambino Ruling Panel....there isn't one. They have an extremely competent fully functioning administration.
