Now it's a memoir supposedly. Forward by Peter Lance or Vance or whatever the fuck.
I was also told by a very close friend of tall pete that John gambino was boss of the gambino family

I put "Narcoland" on hold and started reading "Floating City" by Sudhir Venkatesh instead.

I stopped reading after the first chapter. This guy comes off as a pretentious asshole. It's clear he's a big admirer of his own credentials. Every other paragraph he reminds the reader that he graduated from University of Chicago and teaches at Columbia. And I'm not some anti-intellectual populist or anything, but there's no reason---in terms of the substance of the text---to mention his credentials over and over other than self-aggrandizement.

In the meantime, I also picked up:

"Business or Blood" by Edwards and Nicaso
"The Milwaukee Mafia" by Gavin Schmidt
"DiCarlo Vol. One" by Hunt and Tona

Just finished Lucky Luciano: Mysterious Tales of a Gangster Legend, wish it was longer.

Now I'm reading "White Collar Crime" Cases and Materials by Pamela H. Bucy.

I better get to Man of Honor after this.

Wish more people posted in this thread.
I get it....first rule of fight club.

I am reading - 'The Mafia Talks' c. 1969 by Joseph Volz & Peter J. Bridge
I purchased it from a used book website. The book quotes most of the
DeCavalcante Tape transcripts. Its pretty cool. Below is a link I found
to some of the transcripts if you are interested. Start at page 139 for
the transcripts:
