There was nothing we could do about it. It was among the Italians.

Re: "They all used to be under Mike. Vito made them caporegimes."

I don't think we can be certain that Galluccio was in Yale's crew. As far as I know, this information comes from William J. Balsamo, whose books are full of fictional dialogue and made up stories. During Thomas Dewey's investigation of Murder Incorporated in the 1930s and 40s he was named as the per...

Re: Salvatore Trivalino?

There was no Salvatore Trivalino or Salvatore Trivilino at Apalachin. I wonder if this name came from Giacomo Vicari, but the earliest reference to this imaginary attendee comes from user BarrettM on 7/20/12 in Gangsterbb. The name that comes closest is Patsy Turrigiano. He was an alleged member of ...

Re: The Genovese & Eastern Palermo Province

Cecala told Antonio Comito that he became the head of a band of incendiaries in 1908/1909, before he was convicted of counterfeiting in 1910. I'm not certain but he was probably released from Atlanta Federal Penitentiary in 1920. So I don't think we have enough information to make an education guess...

The Lucchese family still has members with Enna/Caltanisetta origins. Martin Taccetta, son of Angelo Taccetta, who was supposed to be a Lucchese soldier, grandfather originally from Villarosa, Enna. Capodecina Lucchese Vincenzo Plumeri comes from Regalbuto, Enna. Plumeri was believed to have been p...

To PatrickGold: Thank you very much for these posts! Fascinating info! Pardon my ignorance, but is there any way for us on this Forum to access the original 12-part series from October 31, 1988? It would be interesting to read the entire series! Regards, BeatiPaoli The Milwaukee journal did not pos...

Re: Complete transcript of Dutch Schultz last words

When I visited NYC in 2002 I met an old Jewish man who claimed he was involved with Murder Incorporated back in the day. I visited some antique store or bookstore and got into a conversation with the owner. That's when the elderly man came in. He introduced me to him. Unfortunately I had limited tim...

Re: Complete transcript of Dutch Schultz last words

I was always interested in the last words of Dutch Schultz. Having never seen them before, I wondered what they were, and what they may have revealed. Now that I have seen them, I wonder no more. They are clearly just the mad ravings of a dying man. Yeah they don't mean anything. Most of the things...

Re: "They all used to be under Mike. Vito made them caporegimes."

Nick Gentile said that around 1928 Capone was called to NYC by Joe Masseria and initiated then immediately made into a capodecina with the power to make ten men in Chicago. So Capone didn't have a crew in New York for anyone to take over. His crew was in Chicago and the members of his crew probably ...

Re: "They all used to be under Mike. Vito made them caporegimes."

There's info in the Secret Service records suggesting that Curto was a capodecina, but I haven't seen anything anywhere pointing to Tommy the Bull being one. I totally agree with everything quadtree and B wrote. To B's question about Frank Costello, no, we don't have evidence that he was ever a capo...

Re: General Chicago Outfit Info Dumping Ground

Just finished reading Ray Flynn’s Confession of a Hitman. He worked for Buster Wortman in East St Louis. He claims him and Art Berne use to drive up to Chicago to meet with Jackie Cerone and Joey Aiuppa. The East Side Crew took orders from Chicago. Does anyone know if they fell under any capo or an...
