Re: LCN In Maine/NH

Great stuff, thanks for sharing. Do you have any details on the time around the Little Joe/Jannoni hits? Must have been tough on his father when that happened. Honestly I don’t really know much about that in particular. Not specifics anyway. Any family that I’ve heard talk about that situation (tha...

This is really interesting and would Crazy Joe Gallo have known that his older brother was an informant?

Re: Captain with no Crew vs Soliders Direct with Boss

While we don't have documents listing any capos pre-1947, I would assume that L.A. probably had them because it was normative and there was a sufficient number of members to justify having them. When we first read of Joe Giammona he was without a crew because of his health issues, so it's probably ...

Pretty sure it's come out recently buddy McLean was maybe one of the first top echelon informants. If he didn't get killed that time it would have been shortly after. On the topic I wonder who is the boss in New england today? Thanks for your reply and if Buddy McLean had survived would he and Stev...

Re: #2 in NE

I personally think if Howie was able to stay out of the can, he would have been 5x bigger than he was. He was respected by all, and had serious connections. He was a gangster's gangster, never heard any bad words about the man. Hi Jake and what would've happened if Buddy McLean had survived the gan...

Re: "NY 1839:" the FBI's first Mafia informant

Angelo, Nash, I really appreciate the kind feedback. David, Yes, Isabella talked before Scarpa. How much Isabella revealed is unclear. Although Villano wrote that he shared enough confidential information that the Bureau should have looked into it further but didn't for reasons unknown. Thanks for ...

Were there top echelon informants in Rhode Island at the same time as bulger, Flemmi and mercurio were talking to John Connolly in Boston?

Re: What Price Providence?

Is joe salvati still alive? He was pretty cool after being let out. There was videos of him hanging with limone at restaurants. I wouldn't be surprised if he was involved in the life. I had always heard that he was a knock around guy and was around the life growing up but was mostly a legitimate gu...

Henry Tamelo allegedly had a chance to get out of jail for the Deagan murder he didn't commit, but he needed 150k to pay some gov't official. Zannino and Anguilo refused to chip in because he was a RI guy and not a Boston guy. Tamelo died in jail. I heard he had dementia too but that isn't mentione...

Re: Robert DeLuca direct examination notes (Frank Salemme trial)

I would say absolutely. He was respected and feared. Like I said, Ray Sr. called him off Gerry A at the beginning. I think he always wanted that top spot. He was definitely tight with that Winter Hill/Salemme crew but would he be a stickler for the rules and actually even make Frank as he was half ...
