Re: NYC Bust
Thinking Waldorf Holding and Sal's Hauling Corp were the "Demolition Company-1" and "Joe Doe-1" respectively, mentioned in the indictment and detention memo. Waldorf is owned by 3 people and have a documented history with Diego and Sal Tantillo, with Sal being involved in a siste...

Re: NYC Bust
Also interesting to note that while not named in the indictment/detention memo, Sal DiLorenzo is also a fund trustee for LIUNA Local 78.

Re: Researching the Mafia
Any one have experience or advice on how to get documents from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA)? I did efoia request on Luppino and the response was that potential documents that may fulfill my request had been moved there. I second this question. Recently had this come up as...

Re: Dan Dorsky & Mike Campi: The New Jersey Port is Still Controlled by Genovese Crime Family. Your thoughts?
Especially since the dismantling of the Waterfront Commission, there are journalists and law enforcement officials talking about the potential comeback of the mob in ports of New Jersey/New York and waterfront racketeering ala the ole' days. I think structurally it's impossible and no one has explai...

Re: An excerpt of William D'elia new book.
Did he ever induct new guys or did he just let it flame out? He was a so called boss for what 10 15 yrs He let it flame out. The biggest issue with this book in my opinion is he didn't explain his thought process as to why he let the Family die out and not induct new people. It wasn't for a lack of...

Re: An excerpt of William D'elia new book.
John Stanfa asked William to become the Boss of Philadelphia, but the latter refused because he liked Natale/Merlino and knew they would never accept this position.

Re: D’Arco info
It's interesting D'Arco mentioned that Rosedale Carting was on record with the Genovese. Rosedale was owned by Anthony Y. Vulpis and operated generally in Brooklyn and Queens, Gambino carting territories. The New York Times reported that the firm was also co-owned by Angelo Paccione. Vulpis and Pacc...

Re: Garbage Business
From what I have heard on this forum and elsewhere, the Colombos are still involved in garbage hauling in Long Island. That racket has existed for the Colombos since the 1960s, when they had near-complete control over certain townships and there were the infamous "garbage wars" between fe...

Re: Garbage Business
I remember reading an article recently (past few years), an investigative piece centered around drivers/hauler's low wages, tough working conditions, and mandatory membership of paper locals that don't do shit - that mentioned Genovese member James "Jamie" Bernardone . So he's apparently ...
