Charles Russell arrested last year on gun charges

Good stuff Slick.

Plescia and the rest of the gang were allegedly somehow connected to Tony Zizzo and Al Tornabene. According to some sources, Frank Bonavalante was the older brother of Joey Bonavalante, who in turn was an alleged “lieutenant” under Zizzo, and so Bonavolante’s main role was financing the cocaine purchases with Outfit money, in return for a share of the resale profits

Thanks, looks like the Cozzos were always involved in money laundering schemes

Yeah, Frank pointed that out to me. I haven't had a chance to add it yet. Thanks.

I don't think I see them on the list but there's also Sam Volpendesto and Mark Polchan who were convicted of bombing the video poker business and were part of Sarno's crew. I think they were indicted around 2009 if I remember correctly.

Okay, thanks. Seems like there were two crews involved. Elmwood Park & Cicero.

Castaldo was a major guy (somewhat of a sleeper) in Elmwood Park that headed that operation. He was definitely a made guy. DiFronzo and Andriacchi were probably the only guys higher than him in Elmwood Park at the time. I don't believe Sarno or Cataudella were truly higher level until the late nineties and may not have been made until then, either.

I don't mean to delve too deep here, I just wanted to have some type of way to show important guys who were indicted without getting into the weeds of positions, made or not made, etc.

@Snakes, good work.
In 1993, Sarno & Cataudella were indicted in an extortion case but there is no asterisk next to their names. In 1993, were they not considered made guys? If not, When do you think they were made? They seemed more important than all the other names including the one name that did have an asterisk next to it.
