The home of Rockford LCN associate Peter Scifo is up for sale for $175,000. The home, located at 1702 E. State Street was where Scifo was living in 1956 when he was brought up on charges of influence peddling and bribery relating to the Rockford City Council. Because of Alderman Eric Anderson's position on the council, he was the one most vocal in bringing charges against Scifo. The following year a bomb exploded at Anderson's home, severly injuring his wife. Scifo was suspected but was never arrested. FBI files listed Scifo as a "political fixer" and close to Rockford consigliere Joe Zito and the home isn't far from where Zito lived. Scifo was born in Aragona, Sicily in 1904 and died in Rockford in 1969.
