In 2010, Scoops Licata was on tape talking about how he still passed the names of guys he proposed to the Gambino and Genovese families but not to the others.
One would assume it's passed around to members of the other three families. The DeCavalcantes have had documented dealings with all Five Families in the 21st century.

The D'Agatis get overshadowed by their relatives but were an extremely important family in Villabate. Gene's great-uncle Giulio D'Agate (original spelling) was boss of Villabate in the 1910s-1920s before his murder and Gene's grandfather Vincenzo was a Villabate member going back to the 19th century. His uncle Sebastiano was also a Colombo member and I'm sure his father Francesco was made in Villabate and probably joined the future Colombo's during his few years in NYC. Some other interesting intermarriage involving the D'Agatis as well, one being Gene's sister who married Sal Profaci Sr.

Re: the Carinese fugitives D'Amico helped, I'm curious if they were connected to the Colombo Family's Buffa-D'Alessandro-Badalamenti clan as they had ties to the Sicilian mafia there. I notice one of them had the given name Croce which is the same name as Croce Pecoraro who was patriarch of that clan, though Croce is a name common to Carini as Crocifisso is the patron saint.

Great write-up from JD. I had almost completed writing a similar post on Consagra, for a substack I've recently created.

Some extra details:
-The Peter Licata tried for 1911 murder was a brother-in-law of Salvatore Bufalino
-A distant cousin of Charles Consagra was Salvatrice Consagra, mother of Pittson member Sam Galante
-Consagra was arrested and investigated in 1907 as part of a black hand group along with other early members (named in reports as Charles Gonzaga)

Not surprised there were Trenton connections with the early Pittston Family as Trenton had a colony from the same part of Caltanissetta and most of the Philly members later made in Trenton had heritage from Caltanissetta, with some indications they had relatives and connections to the Pittston area.

Great post. JD hit it out of the park with this one, yet again.
Born and raised in New Castle. We had relatives and restaurants in Sharon, in fact my brother was born in Sharon. Grandparents emigrated from Greece to work in the mill in Farrell, which later became Sharon Steel. New Castle, Farrell and Sharon are just minutes apart from each other especially Farrell and Sharon. Not sure how much people realize how heavily Italian this area was and still is. I swear every person I knew as a kid was either Greek or Italian. Youngstown is a 15 minute drive. The whole area is severely depressed post mill closures.
